I made your Lasagna recipe for my wife, and WOW, we both absolutely LOVED IT!!! Plus, this was my first ever attempt at making Lasagna, I just followed the direction step by step, and it came out PERFECT. My wife said she doesn’t like Lasagna unless it’s her Mom’s recipe, but she absolutely loved this Lasagna. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!!!

Delicious lasagna! My boyfriend said he didn’t like lasagna, then he came home from work, tried mine, and fell in love! He said it was the best lasagna he had ever tasted!! He wants the leftovers in his lunch for work tomorrow!! Meg
I made the lasagna for my boyfriend and it was real fun to make them together.
We cooked the lasagna in the Owen on slow heat over few hrs and the result has been appreciated.
Very delicious and tasty accompany with red wine it was like a cream on top of the cherry.

I love lasagna! It’s always the dish I get to try out any new Italian restaurant, what I measure them by. I’d never cooked it before myself, but I decided to go for it. We had a recipe in a standard cookbook, but on a whim, I did a quick internet search and quickly found your recipe. It looked similar enough so I reasoned it wasn’t crazy, but it also looked much better with more ingredients. With all the helpful pictures and instructions, it was easy to make. I made your lasagna for my mother-in-law and father-in-law. I let the sauce spend a few days in the refrigerator before I put the lasagna together and baked it. Hi,

After searching the internet for hours, I chose your recipe and made this lasagna for friends – they loved every morsel! Even though I bought Instant Lasagna sheets which you can use without pre cooking, I still soaked them so they were more pliable. Thought I might bye the latina fresh pasta sheets next time (I’m in Australia buy the way). I have included a picture of the lasagna – I forgot to put the Parmesan after one of the meat layers, so put it on the top with the left over mozzarella. I would certainly make this again.

I modified your recipe a bit, since i wanted to have some sauce w/o meat. I made my own marinara and browned the beef(ground my own piece of chuck) and sausage I layered the meat in by itself. Also, I was short of mozzerella so I ground up a piece of italian very sharp provolone that i had forgotten about to add to it. The end result, very cheesey and delicious. My only qualm, and maybe i’ll figure this out, is that on the serving plate, things sort of slide off each other, I suppose that there needs to be more ricotta to act as cement..Here’s a picture. thanks for the site, got me thinking about making one, as I never have…

i can eat a well prepared lasagna any day! to make lasagna has always been a desire of mine but it was daunting. thanks to a blizzard and your recipe that i easily found online. without trepidations or any hesitation, i took the plunge. of course, i credit you, not only for the great recipe, but for the “very detailed and easy-to-follow” (echoeing a previous comment) recipe. it’s certainly fool-proof. thank you for this great recipe and the many joyous evenings that i’ll have with good company – the comfort of my hearty dish lasagna!

That looks like such a delicious lasagna recipe, I’m looking forward to trying it. I have a question though…if I was to freeze this, what would the bake time be? Would it be necessary to thaw it before baking it? Thanks!

Thanks for such a great recipe! I am actually typing this as the sauce is simmering. I haven’t even made the lasagna up yet. My whole house smells wonderful and I have gotten compliments from my husband and teenage son. Can’t wait for a couple hours when they actually eat it! thanks again.
OH MY Goodness – and when I say goodness I mean it. This recipe is amazing. It’s easy to make and so delicious. I’ve never tasted sauce this good NEVER. Thank you for making ME look like a gourmet cook and my family thanks you as well. You could just eat the sauce as a meal. WARNING: once you stick a spoon or a piece of bread to taste the sauce you might not stop until the pot is empty!

The sliding off bit can be solved by letting the lasagna sit for 30 min. after removing it from the oven. My family thinks it always tastes even better the 2nd day when we reheat in the microwave.
Wonderful – however I omit the sugar and fennel as the Italian sausage has ample fennel, and we never miss the sugar if it’s left out.
