My family thinks it always tastes even better the 2nd day when we reheat in the microwave. Wonderful - however I omit the sugar and fennel as the Italian sausage has ample fennel, and we never miss the sugar if it's left out. This recipe is amazing. It's easy to make and so delicious. I've never tasted sauce this good NEVER. Thank you for making ME look like a gourmet cook and my family thanks you as well. You could just eat the sauce as a meal. WARNING: once you stick a spoon or a piece of bread to taste the sauce you might not stop until the pot is empty!
