Spicy Cheesy Garlic Bread
1 baguette, French loaf or Italian crusty bread, sliced lengthwise (or any large loaf of bread of your choice.)
½ cup of butter, softened
½ cup of herb and garlic cream cheese or cracker spread (any brand is fine)
¼ cup of parmesan cheese, grated.
½ cup of cheddar cheese, grated. (Or instead use ¼ of cheddar and ¼ cup of any other grated cheese of your choice.)
1 teaspoon of minced garlic (jar variety is fine, add more if you prefer)
½ teaspoon of chili flakes or Sriracha, or cayenne pepper (add more if you prefer it spicier)
Preheat oven to 350F
Mix together in a bowl-the butter, all the cheeses, garlic, and spices and/or hot sauce.
Spread generously over half the mixture on one side of the loaf of bread, repeat on other half of the loaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 6-7 minutes. Turn oven to broil, leave for another 2-3 minutes or until cheese is browning and bubbly. Allow to cool for a few minutes, slice and serve.
